Bourns Introduces PF2270 Series Thick Film Resistors in Compact TO-227 Package

 Bourns has announced the Riedon PF2270 Series Power Film Resistors. This thick film resistor series, housed in a compact TO-227 package, is designed for high heat tolerance and power dissipation. The resistors support up to 300 W of power dissipation with a heatsink, utilizing thick film technology and a low-inductance design for pulse handling capabilities. These features make the series suitable for applications such as industrial motor drives, power conversion, and battery energy storage systems.

The PF2270 Series operates at temperatures up to +175 °C and offers a resistance range from 100 milliohms (mΩ) to 100 kiloohms (KΩ), with tolerance options of 1 percent and 5 percent. These characteristics enable current limiting, precise current measurement, and capacitor discharge functions in high-power-density applications.
