Vishay Intertechnology announced the release of the AEC-Q200 qualified NTCAIMM66H NTC immersion thermistor on July 04, 2025. The device features a miniature sensor tip and thin insulated wire, designed for temperature measurement in the constrained spaces of liquid-cooled automotive systems, with a response time of 1.5 seconds to temperature changes.
The NTCAIMM66H consists of a miniature NTC thermistor housed in stainless steel 316L, with lead-free brass and 0.35 mm² AWG#22 insulated lead wires in a FLR2X construction, supporting a traction force exceeding 30 N. The insulated wires enable direct crimping with automotive connectors, removing the need for wire-to-wire connectors, while the stainless-steel housing allows continuous contact with water or other liquids.
The thermistor is intended for temperature sensing and control in applications such as HEV/EV on-board chargers, charging plugs and sockets, solar heating systems, energy storage systems, industrial drives and tools, and servers. It can be customized with various cable lengths, gauges, stripping lengths, and conductor plating to support integration into HEV/EV thermal management systems.
The device has a resistance of 10 kΩ at +25 °C with a tolerance of ±2%, a beta (B25/85) of 3984 K with a tolerance of ±0.5%, a maximum power dissipation of 100 mW, and an operating temperature range of -40 °C to +125 °C.
Samples and production quantities of the NTCAIMM66H are available now, with lead times of 12 to 14 weeks.
