Nanoacademic Technologies releases QTCAD simulation platform for quantum technology

Nanoacademic Technologies Inc. has developed QTCAD, a simulation platform designed for quantum technology applications. The platform integrates finite-element and atomistic modeling to support multiscale simulations.  An electrostatics tool to calculate the confining potential of quantum dots in semiconductor nanostructures and determine electron or hole envelope functions. The most recent version  QTCAD version 2.0.1 offers major improvements to the semiconductor spin-qubit module.

Key features of QTCAD include:
A capacitance matrix solver to extract self and coupling capacitances in superconducting circuits.
A frequency-domain finite-element Maxwell solver for computing eigenmodes of superconducting resonators and cavities.
Tools for valley-splitting calculations at both finite-element and atomistic levels.
Tools for g-tensor calculations at finite-element and atomistic levels.
An exact diagonalization tool to address Coulomb interactions in few-electron systems.
A master equation solver for quantum transport calculations in the sequential tunneling regime, enabling analysis of Coulomb blockade and charge-stability diagrams.
