NIPPON KINZOKU CO., LTD. (TOKYO: 5491), headquartered in Minato-ku, Tokyo, has launched NK-301ZF, a spring-use stainless steel within the chemical composition range of SUS301 (JIS), as part of its “Eco-Product” series. The material is used in the automotive, electronic components, and semiconductor industries.
NK-301ZF offers a combination of high strength and high ductility, allowing for lighter parts and simplified manufacturing processes. This results in improved energy efficiency and reduced environmental impact during production. The material’s design flexibility supports optimized shapes and specifications, enhancing processing efficiency and yield. It has been adopted for applications such as smartphone components, diaphragms, and flat spiral springs.
The company designates NK-301ZF as an “Eco-Product” to support its goal of achieving Net Zero CO₂ emissions by 2050. The material aligns with NIPPON KINZOKU’s 11th business plan, “NIPPON KINZOKU 2030,” which emphasizes “Near Net Performance” to meet end-product requirements through material design.
