TDK Unveils high-rel PCIe/NVMe SSD for industrial computing sys
TDK announced introduction of its latest SSD, the M.2 2280 type [SNP1A series], designed to support PCI Express (PCIe) and NVM Express (NVMe). With a focus on data reliability, this SSD integrates NAND flash memory, TDK’s GBDriver GX1 controller IC, and an internal backup power circuit, ensuring resilience against power interruptions.
PCIe/NVMe Compatibility: The SNP1A series caters to the increasing demand for PCIe/NVMe-connected SSDs, particularly in applications like servers and high-performance computing, offering enhanced transfer speeds. Reliability: TDK prioritizes stability and reliability, crucial for industrial equipment and edge computing. The SSD incorporates blackout countermeasure circuits for PCIe, ensuring stable operation even during sudden power interruptions. Low Power Consumption: The GBDriver GX1 controller IC consumes approximately half the power of common PCIe/NVMe SSDs, making it suitable for energy-efficient edge computing equipment. Enhanced Security: TDK’s SNP1A series includes robust security measures, such as firmware tampering prevention and proprietary security functions, safeguarding against data tampering and leakage, including protection against ransomware. Broad Applications: The SSD finds applications in a wide range of industries, including edge comput...
