STMicro launches STM32H7R/S microcontrollers for smart home and such applications
STMicroelectronics has unveiled new microcontrollers STM32H7R/S to meet the evolving demands of smart home and industrial systems, combining the best features of microprocessors and microcontrollers.
Performance and Scalability: The STM32H7R/S microcontrollers feature the highest-performing Arm Cortex-M core ever announced by ST, with the Cortex-M7 running at speeds of up to 600MHz. This exceptional processing power enables developers to create sophisticated smart devices capable of handling multiple functions simultaneously, without compromising on performance or efficiency. Robust security features include protection against physical attacks, memory protection, runtime code isolation, and platform authentication. The STM32H7S devices further enhance security with integrated immutable root of trust, debug authentication, and hardware cryptographic accelerators, ensuring protection against unauthorized access to code and data. With minimal on-chip memory and high-speed external interfaces, the STM32H7 MCUs offer flexibility allowing engineers to build complex systems with ease using simple, low-cost microcontroller development tools. The devices are available in two variants: the general-purpose STM32H7R3/S3 MCUs and the graphics-enhanced STM32H7R7/S7 MCUs, enabling developers to choose the ...
