Reduced Footprint and Enhanced Power Options: The nRF9151 SiP is a compact and highly integrated chip, offering a 20% reduction in footprint compared to its predecessors in the nRF91 Series making it useful for wearable devices, smart sensors, and other space-constrained IoT applications. It combines a System-on-Chip (SoC), power management, and RF front-end in a single package. Additionally, the SiP supports Class 5 20dBm output power, providing developers with greater flexibility, especially for battery-powered products.

Compatibility Across nRF91 Series Portfolio: The nRF9151 is fully compatible with other chips in the nRF91 Series, such as the nRF9161 and nRF9131. It leverages the same modem firmware and is supported by Nordic's unified software solution, the nRF Connect SDK. This compatibility enables seamless development and transition between different devices, streamlining the development process for developers.

Supply Chain Resilience: Designed for increased supply chain resilience, the nRF9151 SiP ensures continuity of production and availability of components. This resilience is crucial for maintaining stable operations and mitigating risks associated with supply chain disruptions.

“Our decision to develop the nRF9151 stems from a deep understanding of market demands and the need for solutions that seamlessly address the challenges faced by our customers”, says Kjetil Holstad, EVP Strategy and Product Management. “With the nRF9151, we aim to fill a crucial gap in the market, streamlining the development process, and reducing both power consumption and footprint. This strategic addition to our cellular IoT portfolio confirms our dedication to providing cutting-edge cellular IoT solutions and our continuous drive to stay ahead". "With the nRF9151, we aim to fill a crucial gap in the market, streamlining the development process, and reducing both power consumption and footprint." said Kjetil Holstad, EVP Strategy and Product Management.
