MACOM expands PURE DRIVE: Introducing dual channel laser driver and TIA

Date: 07/02/2024
MACOM Technology advances its MACOM PURE DRIVE portfolio with the introduction of new dual channel laser driver and transimpedance amplifier (TIA) products. Designed as an alternative to Digital Signal Processor (DSP) based architectures for pluggable optical modules, MACOM PURE DRIVE solutions offer enhanced power efficiency, reduced signal latency, and lower manufacturing costs for optical module production.

The latest additions, MATA-39224 (2x100G TIA) and MALD-39225 (2x100G VCSEL Driver), complement MACOM's existing portfolio of four- and eight-channel devices, providing a tailored solution for DSFP/SFP-DD and SFP112 optical form factors. These products are meticulously engineered to deliver high bandwidth, broad dynamic range, and minimal noise, facilitating the implementation of linear pluggable optical (LPO) solutions across various applications and form factors.

MACOM will showcase the MATA-39224 and MALD-39225 products, alongside its comprehensive lineup of MACOM PURE DRIVE and linear equalizer offerings, at DesignCon 2024. Highlighted products include MACOM's family of 100 Gbps and 200 Gbps per lane linear equalizer ICs tailored for 800 Gbps and 1.6 Tbps Active Copper Cable applications. Attendees are invited to visit MACOM at Booth 904 during DesignCon 2024 at the Santa Clara Convention Center in Santa Clara, California, from January 30 to February 1, 2024.

With the introduction of the dual channel laser driver and TIA products, MACOM reaffirms its commitment to driving innovation in optical communication solutions. The expansion of the MACOM PURE DRIVE portfolio not only offers enhanced performance and efficiency but also underscores MACOM's dedication to providing cost-effective and scalable solutions for next-generation optical networks. Attendees at DesignCon 2024 had the opportunity to explore MACOM's latest offerings firsthand, positioning them at the forefront of cutting-edge optical technology.
