Fastest barcode label printing with new thermal printheads

ROHM created fast, dependable thermal printheads: TE2004-QP1W00A / TE3004-TP1W00A for barcode label printers used in logistics and inventory management.
The demand for logistics and inventory management labels has increased due to the growth of the e-commerce market and diversifying customer needs. However, traditional thermal printheads can only print at speeds between 250mm/s and 300mm/s. To solve this problem, ROHM created new thermal printheads that are faster and more reliable. The goal is to achieve better print quality and durability than traditional printheads.
The TE2004-QP1W00A (203dpi) and TE3004-TP1W00A (300dpi) are better than previous products in terms of material, structure, and wiring. They have a new design for the heating elements, which affects printing speed and quality. This design uses ROHM's 3D processing technology and allows for a print speed of 500mm/s, which is twice as fast as other products in the industry.
Adding a two-layer protective film to the head enhances resistance to wear and static electricity during high-speed printing. It also prevents corrosion from moisture and salt, significantly prolonging the lifespan. ROHM will further enhance label printing efficiency in different industries by incorporating these technologies into new products.
