AEC-Q200 qualified thin film automotive grade chip resistors

Date: 09/10/2023
Stackpole has announced the availability of its AEC-Q200 qualified new RNCA series thin film automotive grade chip resistors made to offer long-term reliability. Stackpole said this series is produced on dedicated manufacturing lines with strict material and process controls necessary for an automotive grade chip resistor with exceptional test performance to all AEC-Q200 tests and improves the expected failure rate by an order of magnitude or more. RNCA deliver high anti-sulfur performance, passing the industry standard ANSI/ EIA977 sulfur test with minimal resistance shift at 105 degree C.

The RNCA suggested as best solution for precision medical applications, precision automotive electronics, non-established reliability military and aerospace, as well as instrumentation and metering.

Stackpole Electronics is a leading global manufacturer of resistors. Headquartered in Raleigh, N.C., the privately held company began manufacturing in 1928 as part of Stackpole Carbon Company in St. Mary’s, Pennsylvania. Now part of the Akahane Stackpole Manufacturing Group, Stackpole has facilities in Japan, Taiwan, China, the US and Mexico.
