AEC-Q200 compliant automotive grade overtemperature protection mini-breaker
Bourns announced that its Model AD and SD Series Miniature Thermal Cutoff (TCO) mini-breaker devices have received automotive grade approval and are compliant to AEC-Q200 equivalent standards. In addition, Bourns' mini-breaker manufacturing facility is IATF 16949 certified and has passed the VDA 6.3 process audit requirements. As surface mount, ultra-small overtemperature protection devices, Bourns automotive grade mini-breakers create an extra level of temperature monitoring safety and warranty confidence for automotive application developers and users alike.
These two latest mini-breaker device series have multiple industry-leading features that deliver the advanced level of resettable, accurate and repeatable overtemperature protection automotive designers can leverage in a broad range of heater circuit-based applications. They are available in several mounting options – the Model SD Series comes in a surface mount package, and the Model AD Series in an axial leaded/weldable package. Both series offer non-automatically resettable (self-hold) or automatically resettable (non-self-hold) function options, and feature a very wide trip temperature range of 55 °C to 150 °C.
