Specific application and market focused NTC thermistors from Bourns
High reliable passive component manufacturer Bourns launched new NTC thermistors called POWrTherm product line to limit high inrush current in electronics circuits. The new line includes seven series, Models BN-LG05Y, BN-LG08Y, BN-LG10Y, BN-LG13Y, BN-LG15Y, BN-LG20Y and BN-LG25Y. These models offer a wide resistance range along with multiple board disc diameter options so that customers can select the right product for their specific application requirements and various market needs.
Bourns POWrTherm NTC Thermistors features unique construction which utilizes various metal oxides to form the polycrystalline NTC thermistor bodies that provide superior capabilities in suppressing high inrush currents. The seven POWrTherm series offer equivalent capacitance up to 1500 μF@240 VAC and a maximum current up to 15 A. In addition, the new model families are housed in radial leaded through-hole packages and are UL and/or TÜV recognized depending on the specific series. The new line is also available in different disc sizes to meet various market segment requirements from consumer to industrial, for applications such as Switched-Mode Power Supplies (SMPS), DC motors, amplifiers and transformers. "At Bourns, we have extensive power protection expertise, and set out to provide a different...
