Amphenol to sell Eaxtron' electric vehicle battery connector

Leading electrical and electronic equipment electromechanical connector maker Amphenol to sell battery connectors made by another exclusive high current power connector maker Eaxtron. Amphenol said in its release, it will sell Eaxtron USA made Effortless and Arcless UL 1977 DIN connectors, crimpers and cable assemblies under the Eaxtron brand name. Eaxtron makes battery connectors for forklifts, scrubbers, and similar electrical driven indoor industrial use vehicles and applications such as aviation support, MRO (maintenance, repair, operations), specialty vehicles (golf carts, EATV, etc) and warehouse operations and purchasing industries. With some customisation, this connectors can be also used for electric bikes, and electric car and any such high current battery-powered equipment. The UL1977 connectors uses patented Vortex clip technology require lesser coupling force and yet handle hundreds of amperes of current rating and establish safer and easier connection at reduced friction. The connected user only need to apply 20% off connector insertion or exertion force compared to present industry standard similar switches available in the market. These connectors also feature a unique contact technology that allows for more contact points and a higher rate of conductivity.
