Electromechanical switch maker C&K has announces a new outdoor harsh weather withstanding switch 12N with light illumination. This robust K12S 12N keyswitch is offered to serve the needs of high-volume industrial and automotive applications. C&K says that for use in motorcycle controls, this product has been tested and adapted to ride/use with gloves on. K12S 12N keyswitch can withstand physical stress say in the example of lay down motor bike by accident and can withstand overload of 100N in addition to abuse proof contacts. K12S offers both performance and piece of mind when riding down the road. C&K allows this switch buyer to have the option of choice of seven standard LED colours for illumination.By using spring mechanisms and cam designs, C&K is able to propose a high actuation force combined with the illumination switch. The K12S Series keyswitches include a IP67 sealed version for use in outdoor applications such as automotive door locks, trunk openers, motorbike handles and other environments likely to encounter harsh conditions. An IP40 version of the switch is available for less demanding environments.
