Rohde & Schwarz has introduced the R&S HMP5050, a five-channel DC power supply for automated test systems, with up to 180 W per channel and 560 W total output power.
The instrument provides five channels, each configurable for up to 15 A and 35 V, and has residual ripple of less than 350 microvolts RMS. Channels can be connected in series for higher voltages or in parallel for higher currents. Multiple instruments can be connected and centrally controlled for higher total power or applications requiring up to 64 channels; connected instruments synchronize automatically, while each channel can be controlled and analyzed individually.

Rohde & Schwarz will demonstrate the R&S HMP5050 at electronica 2026 in Munich from November 10 to 13, at Booth A4.307. The company says a demo setup will show how the supply can power multiple components and circuits at the same time and how channels can be interconnected. The power supply is scheduled to launch in spring 2027 and will be available from Rohde & Schwarz and selected distribution partners alongside the R&S HMP2000 and R&S HMP4000.
