Murata Manufacturing has expanded the line-up of its automotive-grade metal power inductors in the DFE2MCPH_JL series by adding nine new inductance values. This expanded line-up supports the diverse circuit design requirements of automotive power circuits used in advanced driver assistance systems (ADAS), in-vehicle infotainment (IVI), and other automotive electronic equipment. Mass production has already begun.

The increasing performance and functionality of ADAS and IVI systems have driven demand for automotive power circuits that are smaller, more efficient, and lower in power loss. Diverse power supply requirements across different applications have created the need for a wider range of inductance values, allowing selection of the most suitable inductor for each power circuit.
Murata has added nine new inductance options to the DFE2MCPH_JL series. The inductors use a compact 0806-inch (2.0 × 1.6 mm) package and feature low DC resistance, high current capability, and 40 V withstand voltage. They are compliant with the AEC-Q200 automotive qualification standard and are intended for power circuits in automotive electronics, including ADAS and IVI systems. The expanded inductance range enables designers to select the inductance value according to application and power supply requirements for automotive power circuits.
Murata will continue expanding its line-up of automotive-grade power inductors to meet market needs related to vehicle performance, functionality, and electrification.
