Murata Commercializes New Common Mode Choke Coil for In-Vehicle Ethernet Standard 10Base-T1S
Murata Manufacturing has begun mass production of the DLW32MH241MX2, a metal terminal type common mode choke coil in a 1210-inch (3.2 x 2.5mm) package, built to meet the requirements of the 10Base-T1S in-vehicle Ethernet standard defined by the OPEN Alliance industry group.
A common mode choke coil filters out electrical noise that appears identically across paired signal wires, helping keep data transmission clean, which matters for Ethernet connections running inside a vehicle where electrical interference is common. The new component specifically meets the Scc21 Class 3 and Cp Class 3 specifications required under the OPEN Alliance's standard for 10Base-T1S, an in-vehicle communication standard that connects Ethernet devices at speeds up to 10 Mbps.
This development reflects a broader shift happening in the automotive industry.
