ARM offering kit to support quicker safety certification

ARM is providing documentation package for safety critical electronic system designers to get their product designs certified for safety compliance with standards such as IEC 61508 and ISO 26262.

The engineers who are designing safety critical products for applications such as medical, transportation, automotive and industrial electronics can use the ARM Compiler Qualification Kit for finding usage guidelines for the safety-critical application development and validation evidence demonstrating the appropriateness of the ARM Compiler toolchain for safety-related applications.

The Qualification Kit documentation provides evidence the safety critical processes followed.

ARM Compiler Qualification Kit features Safety Manual, Defect Report, Test Report and Development Process Document.

The ARM Compiler Qualification Kit and Extended Support option are aligned with ARM Compiler 5.04, which is now available. ARM Compiler 5.04 will be available as part of Development Studio 5 (DS-5) in December 2013 and Keil MDK-ARM in January 2014.
