8M CMOS image sensor for smart phone and tablet

Toshiba has unveiled "T4K35", a 1.12µm, 8-megapixel BSI CMOS image sensor with color noise reduction (CNR). The key specifications of this image sensor includes: Integrates a CNR circuit and realizes a signal-to-noise ratio equal to Toshiba's equivalent products fabricated with 1.4µm pixel process. Incorporates a high dynamic range (HDR) function that faithfully reproduces dark and bright areas in high contrast images. Features picture frame rate of 30fps at full resolution 1.12 µm pixel size The production shipments of T4K35 to start on November 15.
