Ultra-small 20 V, 0.5/1 Ampere schottky rectifiers from NXP Semiconductor

NXP Semiconductors suggests EEs to check out its new 20 V, 0.5 and 1 A Schottky barrier rectifiers PMEG2005BELD and PMEG2010BELD in the ultra small and flat 1.0 x 0.6 x 0.37 mm plastic package DFN1006D-2 (SOD882D). The features include very low forward voltage (VFmax) of 390 mV at 0.5 A with very low IR and achieve high-efficiency electrical characteristics never before reached in a 1006-sized (0402 inch) plastic package.

Suggested as ideal rectifier devices for mobile, battery-driven devices such as smartphones and tablets that need to reduce overall power consumption in limited PCB board space.

To make these robust and compact NXP has made them with tin-plated solderable side pads for visual inspection of solder joints and tighter contact to the PCB.
