Newtech selects Exar's BitWackr deduplication product

Newtech, a Japanese storage manufacturer has selected Exar's BitWackr deduplication product for their Supremacy NAS product. Exar says that Newtech has selected BitWackr for its ease of integration and support for SAS, SATA, and SSD disk drives.

"Including BitWackr into the Supremacy product provides our customers with an easy to use deduplication solution that will increase their storage efficiency," said Hiroshi Kanno, Executive Officer, Sales Division, Newtech. "The addition of deduplication provides customers with another opportunity to reduce the power and cooling requirements in their data centers."
