The design of embedded projector, the next hot technology in mobile display gets better support from the leading projector technology expert Texas Instruments.

The new DLP LightCrafter Display 2010 evaluation module aids design engineers in evaluating TI's 0.2" (5.29 mm) TRP WVGA display chipset. The 180-mW, ultra-low power chipset, consisting of a DLP2010 digital micromirror device, a DLPC3435 display controller and a DLPA2005 power management/LED driver.

The pico display chipset can be embedded inside smartphone, tablet, digital camera, mobile accessories, interactive surface computing, digital signage, aftermarket head-up displays and near-eye displays such as Google Glass.

DLP LightCrafter Display 2010 evaluation module has a plug and play HDMI interface. The module also features 50-pin board-to-board connector to get connected to other optical systems on a PCB. The evaluation module supported with optical engine and a graphical user interface (GUI) for chipset configuration.

The DLP LightCrafter Display 2010 evaluation module is for sale on ti.com.
