Polyester labels for solar panels from TE are now UL recognized

TE Connectivity, formerly Tyco Electronics, has announced that its HM high-tack metalized polyester and HW high-tack white polyester labels have received UL recognition for use on the backside of solar panels with typically PVF or PVA surfaces. With this new recognition, the labels are now rated to 125 degrees Celsius -- allowing them to withstand the outside conditions and temperatures that solar panels must endure.

HM and HW labels provide visible, crisp and clear identification for serial numbers, approvals and other necessary information required for their application. Made with thermal transfer printable metalized polyester film (HM labels) and thermal transfer printable white polyester film (HW labels), with high tack permanent acrylic adhesive, the products are ideal for rough surfaces that require increased adhesion.

HM labels suit applications that require a metal look such as rating plates and the HW labels are excellent for use on bar-coding, electronic PCB, component and general labeling applications.
