IESA VS 2024: Semiconductor and electronics designed and made in India and exported world over

India Electronics and Semiconductor Association (IESA)'s grand annual India semiconductor industry event IESA Vision Summit 2024 is scheduled to happen on 24th and 25th of Jan 2024 at Hilton Bangalore Embassy, Manyata Business Park, Bangalore.
IESA is connecting global and local industry and government on requirements to drive the India semiconductor eco and business since nearly two decades. We at EEHerald are continuously covering IESA Vision Summit since B V R Naidu was its chairman in its early days as it was called ISA. This year as the speed of electronics and semiconductor industry growth reach new level, we also will be covering this year's event with lot more content/write-ups.
I sat with Ashok Chandak, President, IESA to learn more about this year's event. Here below is what he told me:
Electronics manufacturing is important topic for India. In last few years the manufacturing is ramping up, however the value addition is still very limited. We at IESA are driving the agenda that the manufacturing should have lot of design content from India.
"Designed in India, made in India, and exported world over", with that theme now, we have structured the agenda for the event that would have the participation of end-to-end of all the industry segments which covers it and we are ensuring that academic research, industrial research, start-up community, branded product companies, electronic manufacturing companies, technology providers and users everybody are present including the policymakers. That includes the several officials from central government such as Ministry of IT and also several state governments. These are themselves very committed to electronics manufacturing by way of right policies and right support and all those things. That is how this event is being structured.
We will see that on the two days of event, various different speakers and panelists talking about it. It is going to cover end-to-end. We believe that this is the right time now to get this design led manufacturing accelerated while we leverage our semiconductor ecosystem.

On the sidelines of this meetings Ved Prakash Mall, Director of sales and Marketing at IESA said "IESA has also started two new initiatives called "SemiconIndia FutureSkills by IESA" for students and "Startup Mitra" for startups in electronics and semiconductor space."
