Hidetoshi Shibata, the Chief Executive Officer of Renesas is appointed as member of Board of Directors of Global Semiconductor Alliance (GSA). GSA is not specific to one nation or one region, where its Board of Directors includes heads of top leading semiconductor vendors all around the world.

Renesas under the leadership of Mr. Shibata acquired two U.S. based semiconductor companies, Intersil and IDT.
The GSA board of directors is chaired by Dr. Lisa Su, President and CEO of AMD.
