Chitkara in collaboration with SCL develop neural amp chip

Date: 14/12/2020
Chitkara University' VLSI Centre of Excellence collaborated with SCL in desiging and making a low voltage, low noise neural amplifier IC chip in 0.18 micron, as per latest media reports. The new chip can help in diagnosis of brain related diseases such as Parkinson, Spinal cord injuries, Epilepsy and Paralysis.

This IC can also be used in developing neural prosthetics systems for physically disabled persons.

Low-voltage and low-noise techniques used while designing this chip is also said to be used as voltage amplifiers and transimpedance amplifiers for other biomedical applications.
