TÜV Bangalore supports RF testing for ETSI EN 300328v1. 8.1 compliance

Germany based TÜV Rheinland has launched a new Wireless Testing System at its Bengaluru facility. TUV Rheinland can now test wireless products in India to confirm compliance of the new ETSI EN 300328v1. 8. 1 standard effective1st January, 2015 for the European Market. ETSI EN 300328v1. 8. 1 for 2.4 GHz wireless products include products that have wireless protocols such as Bluetooth, Zigbee, Wi-Fi, WLAN and other proprietary protocols in 2.4/ 5GHz ISM frequency bands. The new standards have redefined many of the test procedures and types of measurements required.

TUV Rheinland’s laboratories in India already has 10 Meter anechoic chamber, SAR testing facilities, PV testing facilities.

“With the introduction of this test system, TUV Rheinland India has become the only laboratory in India and one of the very few globally to facilitate these tests.” said Mr Thomas Fuhrmann, CEO and MD of TUV Rheinland India. “The growing demand in smart wireless device application in the domestic market along with the enormous potential in design and development of these technologies, has created a need to invest in such testing facilities and this will help us in penetrating deeper into these technologies which is the need of the hour.”

“Compliance can be achieved to Radio and Telecom Terminal Equipment (R&TTE) for European Union norms, in turn CE marking and Federal Communications Commission (FCC) and Industry Canada (IC) certifications for North American market. Compliance to Indian requirements laid down by WPS (Wireless Planning & Co-ordination Wing) will also be possible with these facilities.” said Mr. Kalyan Varma, Vice President, Business Stream Products, TÜV Rheinland India
