X-CEO of Akros Silicon joins Exar

Exar Corporation has announced that Parviz Ghaffaripour will join the Company as Senior Vice President of Connectivity and Power Management Products reporting to Exar President and CEO, Louis DiNardo.

Mr. DiNardo commented, "Parviz is an outstanding addition to our team. He is a veteran of the analog mixed-signal industry and brings design, marketing, operational and executive management experience to Exar. His product knowledge and awareness of customer requirements will add depth and strength to our market selection and product definition process while his overall commitment to success will support and enhance the existing Exar culture."

Mr. Ghaffaripour most recently served as CEO of Akros Silicon a privately funded power management company located in Sunnyvale, California. Prior to Akros, he was Chief Operating Officer at Advanced Analogic Technologies which was acquired by Skyworks. Mr. Ghaffaripour has held technical and executive management roles at Maxim Integrated Products and National Semiconductor. He earned his B.S.E.E. at the University of California, Berkeley and his M.S.E.E. at Santa Clara University. Mr. Ghaffaripour began his career at Exar in 1984.
