Date: 12/04/2013
Hitachi High-Technologies Corporation has established Hitachi High-Technologies India Private Limited (Hitachi High-Tech India) in Gurgaon, Haryana, India.

In 1988, Hitachi High-Technologies (Singapore) Pte. Ltd. (formerly Nissei Sangyo (Singapore) Pte. Ltd.) opened a representative office in New Delhi, targeting business in India. Later, in 2007, the office was converted into a branch and business was expanded in the country centered mainly on import operations to India, including semiconductors, CDs/DVDs and automotive-related components.

Hitachi stated "The establishment of Hitachi High-Tech India should enable Hitachi High-Tech to demonstrate its global sales and global sourcing capabilities in India, which is a priority region for the Hitachi Group, with the aim of quickly generating annual sales in excess of 10.0 billion yen in India. This move will also promote expansion of global procurement for strengthening the Hitachi Group’s competitiveness, and in the future could lead to the development of an export business from India to the Middle East and Africa."
