Tiny oscillator device packs both crystal and integrated circuit chip

Switzerland based company called Micro Crystal has launched a tiny oscillator device measuring dimensions of 1.2 x 2x 0.7 mm. This small device delivers accurate frequency instantaneously after waking up from the standby mode.

The targeted applications include wearables, wristbands, tiny small sized IOT devices, Smart pens, medical/health care devices. The automotive grade devices are suggested for emergency call units and remote keyless entry systems.

With the frequency rating of 32.768 KHz, the hermetically sealed oscillator withstands harsh environment conditions , can work under wide supply voltage of 1.6 to 5.5 V, and consumes a low-power where it draws 1 ľA in active mode and 0.45 ľA in standby mode.
