20 more GaN RF transistor Modelithics models from Qorvo

RF semiconductor IC specialist Qorvo is expanding the popular Modelithics Qorvo GaN Library of high accuracy non-linear models for Qorvo transistors by adding over 20 new Qorvo GaN transistor models to its present GaN library which has 29 packaged and die transistor models. RF and microwave active and passive simulation models from Modelithics are used in Electronic Design Automation (EDA).

"This collaboration has allowed Modelithics to apply its many years of experience with model library software development to the benefit of Qorvo customers. Qorvo’s sponsorship of free distribution and support has enabled this high accuracy non-linear library to be quickly embraced and widely utilized by the international PA design community. Customers that also use Modelithics scalable CLR Library models for the passives in their matching and bias networks can get the best of both worlds in terms of simulation-based design success," said Modelithics President & CEO Larry Dunleavy.

The non-linear GaN models supports specifications such as temperature scaling, intrinsic I-V sensing capability, bias dependence, self-heat scaling factor parameter, and measurement validations including pulsed IV and load pull. The model datasheet provides information about the model development, features, parameter settings and model performance plots.

The Qorvo GaN Library is available for free to approved Qorvo customers by requesting through the Modelithics website (www.Modelithics.com, then click on Qorvo logo).

Qorvo Inc is the name of the merged business of RF Micro Devices, Inc. and TriQuint Semiconductor, Inc.
