Kingbright unveils new LEDs HELI2 and Minikin-Air series for electronics systems

Kingbright has announced new LED series HELI2 manufactured using the latest AlGalnP and InGaN material technology. HELI2 can generate luminous output up to ~3,000mcd with 2mA making them fit for high-volume, cost-sensitive applications.

RoHS compliant LEDs available in standard SMD packages and Through-Hole packages. HELI2 is built for use within battery operated devices, mobile electronics, wearable products and outdoor electronics.

Kingbright has also announces the availability of the new Minikin-Air series ultra thin SMD LEDs using the latest AlGalnP and InGaN materials. Minikin-Air series reduces the mounting area by more than 50% compare to the conventional 0603 SMD LEDs, its height is about ¼ of the standard SMD LEDs.

The top emitting package in the Minikin-Air series (APG1005) is the industry standard 0402 package size, but only 0.20mm in height. The right angle package (APGA1602) is small measuring at 1.6mm in width and 0.20mm in height.

Compliant with RoHS and REACH regulations, the Minikin-Air series is available in Blue, True Green, Amber, Orange, and Red. These LEDs are suggested for use number of applications in today’s popular electronics including mobile applications, portable devices, or any design with a space constraint.

Samples are available now, and production quantities are available with standard lead time.
