Entropic adds additional layer of security for its STB SOC Ics

Entropic said it has integrated Conax conditional access chipset pairing technology into its advanced line of multimedia STB SoC ICs to prevent the illegal redistribution of premium operator content.

Conax conditional access is going to be an additional layer of content security for the protection of satellite, cable, terrestrial, IP and over-the-top (OTT) video networks.

Entropic SoC products embedded with Conax chipset pairing technology include the advanced single-core STB SoC family, EN753x/EN754x/EN755x, the powerful dual-core STB SoC line, EN757x/EN758x and Entropicís EN71xy SoC family of cost-optimized solutions.

Entropic has also announced that it has shipped more than five million set-top box (STB) system-on-a-chip (SoC) solutions for North American cable operator HD-DTAs (High-Definition Digital Transport Adapters).
