Multi-core embedded processor for communication CPEs

BroadLight has released embedded processor chips family called Helios for designing Customer-premises equipments (CPEs) such as Ethernet Access Gateways, VoIP enabled access, business CPE's, security appliances and integrated wireless business routers.

"BroadLight has expanded our product offerings to enable our current and future customers with top of the line carrier grade processors that will offer highest quality of performance for product
designs", said Raanan Gewirtzman, BroadLight's CEO.

The members of Helios processor chips include BL25580, BL25550, BL25540, BL25520, BL2548, and BL2545. The BL25580 features six Gigabit Ethernet ports, an Ethernet switch, four channel VoIP DSP with telephony suite, PCIe and USB 2.0 ports, QoS management, and security and hardware acceleration.
