Power-One launches new-look 2.0kW single-phase solar inverter

Power-One, Inc. has launched its redesigned AURORA UNO-2.0 single-phase string inverter for solar power.

Power-One says its new-look 2.0kW inverter is Power-One's smallest residential inverter and is an excellent choice for the average roof top installation. A new design and new features include special built-in heat sink compartment and a front panel user interface.

The UNO-2.0 offers a high speed and precise MPPT, as well as an efficiency rating of 96.3 percent.

"This new product combines innovation and differentiated features, the stronghold of our Aurora inverter offerings," said Paolo Casini, Vice President, Product Marketing at Power-One. "The wide input range begins harvesting at low voltages, extending the daily working time of the inverter. In addition, the rugged IP65 construction can be used in any type of installation without putting restrictions on where and how the inverter should be installed."

The rugged outdoor inverter withstands the harshest environmental conditions. Due to the RS-485 communication interface, the inverter can be easily connected to a laptop or datalogger. The device is compatible with Power-One's PVI-RADIOMODULE for wireless communication with AURORA PVI-DESKTOP, which allows monitoring the performance of connected inverters and the connection to a PC via Bluetooth or USB, offering performance monitoring at any location through AURORA Communicator.
