Milind Kulkarni, a well experienced solar semiconductor expert starts solar PV and electronics materials company with major operations in India with headquarters in Delaware, USA.

A new company named Renaissance Solar and Electronic Materials (RSOLEC) is having center in India at the electronics and semiconductor ecosystem of IIT Madras Research Park with a plan of US$ 300 Million investment in India. RSOLEC intend to contribute to the renewable energy sector by leading solar manufacturing in all areas of the value chain.

Milind, CEO and Chaiman of RSOLEC stated "The first 5-year plan is to deliver a differentiated and future ready Crystal Growth and Wafering plant of 5 GW capacity, which will be expanded later beyond 20 GW. RSOLEC also aims to bring about the cultural change required to succeed in the dynamic solar manufacturing sector. The Company intends to achieve differentiation by creating technology-driven, low-risk changes, positioning itself at the forefront of the solar industry. At the fundamental level, RSOLEC’s goal is to deliver sustainability on the solar platform and differentiation by innovation."

The initial production capacity is targeted to achieve 5 GW and to expand to exceed 20 GW in the long term with commissioning of the facility planned in late 2025 and production in 2026.

RSOLEC to strategically focus on solar crystal growth and silicon Wafer production to support India's Atmanirbhar Bharat program.
