Fujitsu Components is marketing a range of wireless modules in North America to address core OEM design needs as the market for wireless mobile devices, portable media devices and industrial equipment steadily increases. Fujitsu claims its Multi-Chip Modules are smaller in size and consume less power than competing products.

Fujitsu's initial product offering includes the following semi-standard devices:
Bluetooth Class 1 / Class 2 in module form, a module with integrated antenna, and a full module with integrated antenna and connector interface
Ethernet 802.11 b/g module, b/g/n module
Ethernet / Bluetooth combination (802.11b/g + Bluetooth) module
Global Positioning System (GPS) module

Examples of primary applications for these modules include vehicle tracking and navigation, industrial handheld terminals, smart phones, personal media devices, digital audio/visual devices, portable medical devices, e-books and netbooks, with many more emerging.

Fujitsu is also supporting the OEMs by offering driver development, software support and porting services.

Fujitsu is currently developing Ethernet a/b/g, and a/b/g/n modules.
