Septentrio selects DDC-I's safety-critical Deos RTOS for its new innovations

Septentrio has selected DDC-I's safety-critical Deos Real-Time Operating System (RTOS) software for use in new engineering development. Deos RTOS featuring deterministic real-time response, the memory-protected RTOS employs "slack scheduling" to deliver high CPU utilization than any other safety-critical Commercial Off-the-Shelf (COTS) RTOS.

Deos is the certifiable time and space (T&S) partitioned COTS RTOS built from the ground up for safety-critical applications. Deos has already been certified to DO-178B Level A (the FAA's highest level of safety criticality) in dozens of programs and flies on more airframes than any other certifiable COTS RTOS.

"Customers are demanding more robust offerings in the satellite navigation arena," said Peter Grognard, CEO of Septentrio. "DDC-I's Deos operating system and comprehensive development tools provide the feature-rich, ultra-reliable platform required to build the demanding applications customers expect from us. DDC-I provides high-value, cost-effective capabilities that we simply could not find elsewhere."

"Deos has been deployed widely by a variety of development teams in North America," added Bob Morris, CEO at DDC-I. "As we continue to invest resources to grow our international business, companies around the world are learning about our high-reliability and high-availability technology, and the unmatched services we provide. We are very proud that we were able to meet the stringent requirements necessary to earn Septentrio's business."
