Toshiba adds new improved Arm Cortex-M4 MCUs for motor control

Toshiba has introduced eight new products to the M4K Group of the TXZ+ Family Advanced Class 32-bit microcontrollers. These new additions come with enhanced features to meet the growing demands of motor applications supporting IoT. Key Features: Enhanced Memory Capacity: The new products offer a significant increase in code flash memory capacity, ranging from 512KB to 1MB, and RAM capacity from 24KB to 64KB. Powerful Core: Equipped with an Arm Cortex-M4 core running at speeds up to 160MHz. Integrated Memory: Includes integrated code flash and 32KB data flash memory with 100K program/erase cycle endurance. Motor Control Options: Various interfaces and motor control options like A-PMD, A-ENC32, A-VE+, and high-speed 12-bit analog/digital converters. Firmware Rotation: Implements a memory swap method for firmware rotation, enabling seamless updates while the microcontroller remains operational. Communication Interfaces: UART, TSPI, and I2C integrated for general communications. Functional Safety: Self-diagnosis functions for flash memory, RAM, ADC, and Clock to aid in achieving IEC 60730 Class B functional safety certification. Support and Development: Documentation, sample software, driver software, evaluation boards, and development environments provided in collaboration with Arm global ecosystem partners....
