Bangalore based Fermionic launches 0.5/2A Low noise LDO to power SoCs

Bangalore, India based semiconductor product design start-up Fermionic Design has launched 0.5/2A low dropout regulator family targeting wide range of applications to power SoCs, ASICs and such complex ICs.

The new FD5L53MA/FD5L53Mxx/FD5L203A is a low noise, low line and Load regulation LDO capable of driving up to 0.5/2 A of load current with typical 250 mV/900 mV of dropout voltage. The device output is adjustable from 0.9 Volts to max of (Vin-Vdropout) using an external resistor network. The fast loop response and the low dropout voltage characteristics of FD5Lxx3x series LDO ICs makes them an ideal choice for those applications, where low voltage and good load transient response is important such as powering sensitive analog ICs and SOCs. These LDOs are suggested as an excellent choice for use in high-performance analog circuits such as ADCs/DACs, PLLs/DDS, instrumentation amplifiers, battery-powered applications, radio control systems and portable computers. This device is available in several fixed output voltage options or with an adjustable output voltage. It is offered in 6-pin 3mmx3mm DFN6 and 5-pin S0T-23 packages.
