USB2.0 integrated speaker MCU from Holtek

Holtek has released its latest USB Speaker OTP MCU; the HT82A824R integrated with USB 2.0 Full Speed Compatible SIE, digital to analog converter and also incorporates a high power audio amplifier within its embedded microcontroller giving users a platform for the design and manufacture of related audio products.

As per Holtek the embedded UART and various hardware resources make the HT82A824R suitable for product areas such as iPhones, iPods, and iPad docking stations. Auto run applications can also be easily implemented using the internal SPI and USB Bulk ports in the HT82A824R together with external SPI Flash Memory.

HT82A824R uses a Holtek 8-bit MCU core, has 8K x 16 of Program Memory, 864 x 8 of Data Memory and 512 x 8 of Read-only Memory, operating voltage of 4.0V~5.5V, a system frequency up to 16MHz and 21 I/O lines. Besides the features of the HT82A822R, the HT82A824R, after conversion of the played music into the frequency domain, can display the played audio spectrum on an LCD. By also simultaneously changing the backlight color, users can be provided with a visually appealing audio output display says Holtek.
