New intrusion motion sensing IC from Zilog for security apps

Zilog, a wholly-owned subsidiary of IXYS Corporation has introduced its new intrusion motion sensing incorporating integrated motion detection algorithms with features specifically designed for intrusion detection applications.

Based on the ZMOTION MCU this intrusion motion sensing device is provided with each lens/sensor combination. With integrated functions such as White Light Detection and Pet Immunity this IC is suggested as ideal solution for security applications in which highly stable intrusion detection capability is vital.

"IXYS and its divisions have been participating in the security industry for decades, especially with our power semiconductors, ICs and Solid State Relays. These new ZMOTION Intrusion Detection products by our Zilog team expand our solutions to smart motion detection capabilities in which intelligent motion sensing is key for security
detection.

"Aside from motion detection for alarm systems, our more sophisticated motion sensing enables several types of security products, including CCTV. Add the ability to control IXYS power semiconductors with these ZMOTION MCUs, and it is clear to our customers that they can get an entire solution from IXYS - from the detection to power output load control - as a one stop shop," commented Dr. Nathan Zommer, CEO of IXYS Corporation.

Zilog's ZMOTION Intrusion Detection products are currently in full production and are now available to ship to customers that place orders through its distributors.
