TE's NECTOR S line connectors receive UL approval

TE Connectivity (TE) has announced that its family of NECTOR S line connectors - formerly known as 7.5mm Mini HVL power connectors - which is designed for commercial refrigeration, indoor and architectural lighting applications, has received UL approval and is ready for sale in the North American lighting market.

This product line serves as the power connection for small luminaries that are built into furniture, retail display and kitchen cabinets as well as other applications that require small-size connections. They offer flexible lighting fixture installation solutions through a compact circular design that easily fits through openings as small as 8mm in diameter - providing designers with the freedom to create innovative lighting fixtures as its size does not interfere with a lighting design's style.

The family of NECTOR S line connectors supports plug-and-play functionality for ease of use and is keyed for 125 AC high-voltage, 7 Amp, 6 Amp and 42 DC low-voltage applications. Additionally, a power distributor connector offers IDC crimp tap contacts for quick termination, or crimp style pin and socket terminals for cable assembly lead connections. The entire product family meets UL 1977 electrical specifications.
