Yelahanka based Centum Electronics acquires French embedded developer

India based Electronics System Design and Manufacturing company with 80% of its revenue from exports and ISRO as the top buyer from India expands into high-rel embedded electronics design space by buying 51% stake in France based company called Adetel. Adeltel design Electronics systems for high reliability markets such as aerospace, defence, medical and transportation, mainly serving the France and other Europe markets.

This was announced jointly by Appa Rao Mallavarupu, Chairman and MD of Centum Electronics and Francois Sebes, President and CEO of Adetel at a press meet held today in Bengaluru.

Yelahanka, Bengaluru based Centum Electronics is basically a defense and aerospace electronics company supplying components, modules to space vehicles, military equipment, industrial systems, and such high-reliability electronics systems. Centum's executive says India's Mars orbiter Mangalyaan is using around 300 Centum made electronics components and systems. Centum Electronics is a good example of Make In India success in electronics manufacturing.

This acquisition to help Centum to expand its customer base in Europe and worldover and enhance the design capabilities of Centum, according to Appa Rao.

The financial details of the deal were not disclosed. The acquisition to be complete after the approval by Government authorities.
