ST chips power Make in India STB from MyBox

Multi-segment semiconductor chip leader STMicroelectronics announced successful field deployment of satellite set-top boxes (STB) from MyBox – A Hero Electronix Venture for India’s Airtel Digital TV. MyBox’s Digital HD STBs are powered by ST’s STiH237 satellite SoC.

ST says MyBox’s HD STB is the first-of-its-kind HD STB with advanced security and hybrid broadband capabilities, fully designed, developed, and manufactured in India.

At the heart of the MyBox HD STB, theSTiH237delivers superior video decoding and the highest reliability under difficult field conditions, leading to superior display, image quality, and broadcast-demodulation performance.
