UEFI BIOS & memory failure detection for Intel client and server platforms

Insyde Software and KingTiger Technology have made available iMS (Intelligent Memory Surveillance) with InsydeH2O UEFI BIOS for Intel Client (Broadwell) and Server (Grantley) platforms.

KingTiger’s computer memory failure technology iMS is integrated into Insydes UEFI BIOS product, InsydeH2O and validated on Broadwell and Grantley platforms. iMS running from within the BIOS improves computer reliability.

The low-level software does factory burn-in, memory surveillance, failure detection, allowing problematic memory to be identified before product shipping or be masked off during system power-on. KingTiger also to offer a free version of iMS for certain OEM customers to protect Broadwell and Grantley platforms from system crashes caused by single memory address failure. These platforms will have the ability to upgrade to a full feature edition of iMS at a later date.

Insyde Software also announced the support for new ASPEED AST2500 family of Advanced PCIe Graphics & Remote Management Processors.

ASPEED AST2500 family is powered by an 800 MHz ARM11 processor, the AST2500 features include PCIe 1x Gen 2, eSPI, DDR4/3 LV, VGA support and a host of advanced BMC features.
