eSilicon promotes Ajay Lalwani to VP, global manufacturing operations

eSilicon Corporation promoted Ajay Lalwani to vice president, global manufacturing operations.

"As eSilicon grows, an efficient and collaborative manufacturing operation becomes critical to our customers' success," said eSilicon CEO Jack Harding. "Ajay has used his broad semiconductor background to make a positive impact on many areas of eSilicon, including supply chain management and the operation of our ASIC business. I am confident he will lead our manufacturing operation to a high level of excellence to support our growing customer base."

Before joining eSilicon in 2009, Lalwani co-founded Cubic Micro Inc., a sales representative firm with offices in Silicon Valley, Japan and Singapore. Prior to that Lalwani was vice president of the ASIC Business Unit of Renesas Technology America Inc. Before Renesas, he served as senior director of worldwide business development for Chartered Semiconductor. He also held management positions at Samsung Semiconductor Inc. and Mitsubishi Electronics.

Lalwani received his Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering and Masters of Business Administration from Santa Clara University.
