Cactus semiconductor select Dolphin library for their medical sys

Cactus Semiconductor has selected Dolphin's standard cell library for its SoC designed for use in medical system.

Dolphin's standard cell library SESAME eLC is said to offer extra low power performances and dual voltage capability down to 0.8 V:
The optimized standard cells for ultra-low-power enable to reduce the power consumption by up to 5 and the leakage by up to 2.
Dual voltage capability down to 0.8 V allows Cactus Semiconductor to reach the power consumption target of medical and portable applications.

"Dolphin Integration clearly and quickly understood our specific needs within the medical device market, to customize their existing low power digital library at 180 nm for us to deliver 0.8V operation" said James McDonald, CEO of Cactus Semiconductor. "Thanks to the unique architecture of SESAME eLC-DV and Dolphin Integration's low power expertise, we in turn can offer our customers an ultra-low power mixed signal IC solution for use in their medical and portable applications. Dolphin Integration's library was easily integrated into our infrastructure and design flow and that's always helpful to expedite the design process."

"We are eager to announce this first successful collaboration with Cactus Semiconductor and to partake in the success of their ultra low power product in the portable and medical sector", commented Nelly ALBERTINI, Library marketing manager at Dolphin Integration." This new partnership highlights Dolphin Integration's low-power expertise and the quality of their support."
