GENIVI Alliance and JASPAR collaborate on standards for auto infotainment sys

The GENIVI Alliance has entered into a liaison agreement with JASPAR (Japan Automotive Software Platform and Architecture) to align networking software requirements for automotive Bluetooth and Ethernet, specific to in-vehicle infotainment systems and related applications by year-end.

“The collaboration between JASPAR and GENIVI is a prime example of another technical relationship event that that will ease integration of wired and wireless communications for next generation infotainment systems,” said Matt Jones, vice president, GENIVI Alliance.

“Our partnership will leverage open source development and universally accepted standards for Bluetooth and Ethernet, ensuring the most cost effective and robust implementation of these technologies,” said Hideki Goto, chair of Next-generation High-speed In-Vehicle Network WG of JASPAR.
