TE Connectivity joins United Nations Global
Compact
TE Connectivity formerly Tyco Electronics, has announced
that it has signed the United Nations Global Compact (UNGC),
further reinforcing the company's commitment to corporate
responsibility and ethical business practices around the
world.
TE Connectivity joins over 8,700 companies and other stakeholders
from more than 130 countries in supporting the Compact's
10 universally accepted principles in the areas of human
rights, labor, environment and anti-corruption.
"Our decision to become a signatory of the Global
Compact was a natural one," said Tom Lynch, Chief Executive
Officer of TE Connectivity. "The 10 principles strongly
align with our company's core values and reinforce our corporate
responsibility program. We are proud to be among the companies
that support the UN Global Compact."
By becoming a signatory of the voluntary UN Global Compact,
TE agrees to report annually on the UNGC's transparency
and accountability policy known as the Communication on
Progress (COP).
